Islamic Center Of Macon is Macon’s most prominent Islamic center, which started in 2007 as a small prayer area in one of the physician offices in Macon, Georgia. Through the years, ICM has grown into a full-service community center and Masjid catering to the religious needs of Muslims of Middle Georgia.
ICM offers five time prayers with congregation, Jumuah prayers, Sunday school, Quran classes including but not limited to hifz program. We also provide other community services, including monthly community dinners, Nikah services, family counseling and funeral services to Muslims of Macon and surrounding areas.
Islamic Center of Macon and its members are dedicated to educating and serving the community of Macon thru interfaith dialogues and community services.
Please Note: The mosque is accessible during prayer times, open for events or school activities, but it is not open 24/7.
The weekly sermons are prepared and revised to ensure the high quality of service provided, the topics are chosen with careful thought to suit the needs and development of the community.

Imam Muhammad Atif Abbasi joined the Islamic Center of Macon in 2008. He has been serving as a full-time Imam and the principal of the weekend Sunday school at the Islamic Center of Macon since March 2019. He is also the pioneer of the hifz program at ICM, which was launched in March 2019.
Imam Abbasi completed his Quran memorization and initial religious education in Qatar. He graduated from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, with a bachelor’s in Business administration and a master’s in Finance and Human Resource Management. He has done his religious studies at Jamia Hanafia, Rawalpindi.
Imam Abbasi has an Ijazah in Hafs and has led Taraweeh in Qatar, Faisal Masjid, Islamabad and at IIUI. He has represented his country in international Qirat competitions in Iran. He then came to the United States and completed his MS in Leadership at Capella University.
Imam Abbasi is passionate about helping others and uses his knowledge to guide and educate people about Islam. He is a highly respected community member and always puts others first.
Indeed, those men and women who give in charity and lend to Allah a good loan will have it multiplied for them, and they will have an honorable reward.
